Aug 05, 2020 · We hiked on the slot canyon trail at Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument. The trail begins on a sandy path & you hike through a slot canyon with towering "tent rocks". The trail then becomes steep as you climb up to the mesa. You are rewarded with panoramic views of the mountains and of the tent rocks below. This is a minor National Monument. One run by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) rather than the National Park Service. And the BLM has done a nice job. The Monument is near Cochiti Pueblo.
